What you are actually buying
Most yacht listings in Dubai quote an hourly rate for an empty boat. That is a charter, not a party, and the number you see is the start of the bill rather than the end of it. Once you have the boat you still need food, drinks, ice, a sound system, someone to run the day and someone to clean up afterwards. People book the hourly rate, then discover the rest.
A ticketed yacht party is the opposite arrangement. The boat is already crewed, provisioned and staffed, the music is already booked, and you buy a place on it. One number, paid once.
What AED 700 includes
Food, drinks, the DJ, the host, the crew, and the four hours. There is no bar tab and no minimum spend, because there is no bar to run a tab on. You choose your food when you order, so the kitchen provisions for the actual guest list rather than guessing: a standard menu, vegetarian, halal only, no seafood, or gluten free.
What is not included is getting there and back. Pick up and drop off can be arranged and is charged separately, so if you want it, say so when you order rather than on the day.
The VIP table
AED 3,500 covers entry for up to four people, a reserved table, and a gift experience on the day. For a group of four it works out close to the individual ticket price with the table on top, which is why most groups of four take it rather than four singles.
Taking the whole boat
From AED 25,000 the yacht is yours, up to 66 guests. This is the version people book for a birthday, a company night or a wedding party, because the guest list is entirely theirs and the music can be theirs too. It is a hire, not a purchase, for one sailing.
Per head, 66 guests on a buyout works out well under a shared ticket. The catch is that you have to fill it.
How the day runs
Boarding opens at 14:00 and the boat sails at 14:30. It does not wait, because the marina slot does not move. Aim to be there for 14:00 rather than 14:25.
You are on the water for four hours. The route runs out past the Marina towards the Palm and back, which is where the skyline photographs well in the afternoon light. The music runs the whole way, the food comes out during the sailing, and the boat is back alongside at the end of the four hours.
Who is on board
Guests are 21 and over, because the bar is open and that is Dubai's serving age. The guest list is reviewed rather than sold to whoever clicks first, which is the part that makes the difference between a good sailing and a bad one. You order, we confirm by email, and you pay once you are confirmed.
What to check before you book any yacht party in Dubai
- Is the drink included or is there a tab? An advertised price with a bar tab behind it is not the price.
- How long is the sailing? Some are two hours, and two hours includes boarding and docking.
- Is there a host, or just a crew? The crew sail the boat. They are not there to run a party.
- Where does it sail? A boat that stays in the marina is a floating room.
- What happens if the weather turns? Ask before you pay, not after.
