Delete your data
Last updated 6 October 2026
You can delete your account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. You do not need a reason and there is no charge.
Delete it yourself in the app
This is the quickest way. Sign in, open Account, go to Your data and tap Delete my account, then confirm. Your account and data are deleted straight away, apart from the records we have to keep (see below). You can use Download my data in the same place first if you want a copy.
Or ask us by email
If you cannot sign in, or would rather we did it for you, email info@yasalamdubai.com from the address on your account, with the word delete in the subject line. Sending it from the address on the account is how we confirm the request is really yours. If you cannot use that address, write from any address and tell us the phone number on the account, and we will verify you another way before we delete anything.
You can also use the contact form and say you want your data deleted.
What happens after you email us
We confirm we have your request within two working days, and we complete it within 30 days. We will tell you when it is done. If any part of your data has to stay, we will tell you which part and why.
What is deleted
Your account and sign-in, your profile, photos and any listings you published, your messages, your matches and swipe history, your saved items, your notification settings, and any identity documents you uploaded for verification.
What we have to keep
Booking and payment records are kept for the period tax law requires, and we keep what we must for legal and dispute purposes. These are kept apart from your account, are not used to contact you, and are deleted when that period ends.
Payment card details are never held by us. They are held by Stripe, and deleting your account here does not delete records Stripe is separately required to keep.
Deleting is permanent
Once your account is deleted it cannot be restored, and bookings in progress are cancelled. If you have a booking coming up, settle it first or tell us in the same email how you want it handled.
The full detail of what we collect and why is in the privacy policy.
